Pumpkin everything season is here! And so it the Pumpkin Spice Latte. For me, it marks the transition from shorts and sunblock to sweaters and Hunter Boots. Soon my house will be filled with the smell of pumpkin from candles and a pumpkin roll baking in the oven.
This recipe for keto pumpkin spice latte is creamy, frothy and reminds me of the Starbucks version. A good low carb pumpkin spice latte is loaded with healthy fats to keep you full throughout your morning or mid-afternoon. I like add MCT oil into my pumpkin spice latte to give me extra energy to get through my busy back to school mornings.

To mix all the ingredients for the keto pumpkin latte, I find it best to use a blender. This way you can be sure all the ingredients get mixed until smooth. Blending the coffee also produces a frothy layer on top. My favorite blender is by BlendTec. It is high powdered and can quickly pulverize nearly anything.
If you don’t own a blender, you can still mix up your low carb pumpkin spice latte. I recommended using a handheld frother or just and electric mixer to make sure you have smooth coffee. A shaker bottle can work in the pinch too!

The pumpkin in our latte
You have to have pumpkin in order to make a pumpkin spiced latte! The pumpkin used in this keto recipe is canned pumpkin puree. You can purchase it at the grocery store and it is usually found in the baking or canned vegetable aisle. Do not get the can that says “pumpkin pie filling”. This is loaded with sugar and comes presweetened and seasoned. Make sure you buy 100% pumpkin puree.
Although pumpkin does contain a higher carb count, you can still consume pumpkin on the keto diet if you eat it in small amounts. Just make sure you are tracking your carb macros!
Iced keto pumpkin spice latte
It is easy to turn this recipe into an iced keto pumpkin spice latte. Simply pour the mixture over ice! If you want a frappe version, then add ice to the blender and blend until smooth. Top with keto whipped cream and a dusting of pumpkin pie spice! This makes a very creamy pumpkin spice Frappuccino.
