Then heads down to Python via Nero and Python’s love tunnel. Python and Apollo fight. The Arrow of Dodona, our favorite stick with a tragic backstory, saves the day. May he, and the ukulele, rest in peace. Apollo and Python fall into Tartarus together, fighting. Python is defeated, and Apollo is met with the goddess Styx. She actually never wanted to punish him — he learned his lessons during his time as a mortal. Apollo then returns to godhood. We discuss Nero as a villain and how he’s scarier and not as fun to read as Kronos or Gaea, because he’s so real. We also give ourselves Troglodyte names. Then he makes a child cut off Lu’s hands. We discuss the surprisingly deep gender commentary about fathers. Then Apollo gets to spend some time dreaming in a fancy jail cell. Him and Lu actually bond and then enact a plan to escape the cell and try and find the fasces and save Meg.
